Council coordinates the work of WIZO groups in Scotland and provides a forum for

discussion on all points pertaining to raising funds for projects for women and children in Israel,

as well as promoting the distribution of educational material for the groups.

Strictly WIZO, incorporating Central and Edith Eder – chairman Deirdre Bernard

Runs one-off medium and large events and the Annual Nearly New Clothing Sale, which this year takes place on Sunday 19 November and Monday 20 November in the Pollokshields Burgh Halls.

Western WIZO – chairman Roberta Wright

Hold regular coffee mornings and occasional lunches with interesting and varied speakers.

AVIV WIZO – chairman Linda Davidson

Produces a highly popular calendar, which contains a variety of recipes to suit all palates, including a selection of fish and meat dishes, delicious soups, desserts and cakes as well as recipes to suit vegetarian and gluten free diets. Shabbat and Yom Tov times are easily accessed and as well as ample space to maintain a daily diary, there is a separate forward planning section, plus a synopsis of the following year’s Festivals.
