The SJHC aims to increase access to Scotland’s Jewish and Holocaust-era history and expand access to Garnethill Synagogue and its heritage. Based in the Synagogue, the Centre offers weekly guided tours of the building and displays, and a school visit service. The Centre includes the Scottish Holocaust-era Study Centre and an adjacent display in the Succah about the history and experience of refugees and survivors from the Nazi regime. The Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre (SJHC) has been created in partnership by The Scottish Jewish Archives Centre (SJAC) and Garnethill Synagogue Preservation Trust (GSPT) working alongside Garnethill Hebrew Congregation.
