Despite the name, SFI has a wide geographical base, with subscribers, of whom 50% are non-Jewish, receiving our news bulletins throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Australasia. We circulate on an almost daily basis news items, blogs and op-eds which alert activists throughout UK and abroad to current news-events, articles, opinions and letters attacking and defending Israel. It is our policy to collaborate with all support groups in promoting the cause of Israel.  While we have been particularly successful countering anti-Israel comments which have appeared in Scottish publications (often tinged with anti-Semitic undertones), we continue to have concerns about the encroachment of such sentiment in public bodies.

Representative Council

The Council speaks on behalf of the Jewish Community of Glasgow and the West of Scotland and provides a democratic forum for organisations within the community.
