Newark Care provides residential and nursing care for the frail and elderly within a Jewish environment.

Both of our homes are held in high regard by the Care Inspectorate and are amongst the highest ranked providers in Scotland.  Burnfield in Giffnock has 40 bedrooms with ensuite facilities and Westacres in Newton Mearns has 38.

The charity maintains a hardship fund which can provide some financial assistance to Jewish residents who do not hold sufficient funds to meet the full costs of their care home fees.

Representative Council

The Council speaks on behalf of the Jewish Community of Glasgow and the West of Scotland and provides a democratic forum for organisations within the community.

The Glasgow Jewish Representative Council is now a standing committee of the newly formed Jewish Council of Scotland (JCoS). As part of this change, we are currently in the process of winding down as a separate Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).
