27th May 2020 – The Politician and Journalist
Sir Malcolm Rifkind and Hugo Rifkind in conversation with David Ian Neville

What was it like having the Foreign Secretary as your father and a leading Times journalist as your son?

Edinburgh born Malcolm Rifkind served in both Margaret Thatcher’s and John Major’s Cabinets. He’s served as Secretary of State for Scotland, as Secretary of State for Defence and as Foreign Secretary. His son, Hugo Rifkind, is a leader writer for The Times where he also writes columns, features, reviews and satire. He’s also a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and is an occasional guest on television’s Newsnight, Question Time and The Daily Politics.

This will be an event on Zoom and will be recorded.
