Scottish Jewish Archives Speaker event with Lord Livingston of Parkhead – 12.30pm

HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL GLASGOW BOY: Lord Ian Livingston will be the guest speaker at the next Scottish Jewish Archives Centre fundraising event, on March 13

Following our recent highly successful speaker and brunch event, the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre have come up with a real winner for our next event!!

 On Sunday 13th March,  our guest  speaker will be Lord Livingston of Parkhead.

 Born and brought up in Glasgow within a well-known Glasgow Jewish family, Lord Livingston went on to become Chief Financial Officer of Dixons Group, and of BT, then Chief Executive of BT Retail before filling the role of Chief Executive of the BT Group.

 He became Minister of State for Trade and Investment between 2013 and 2015, and is currently Chairman designate of the MAN Group plc, Deputy Chairman of Dixons Carphone plc, a Trustee of Jewish Care in England, and Non-Executive director of Celtic Football Club.

 A Chartered Accountant, Ian lives in Elstree with his wife and 2 children, and will be enlightening the audience with his thoughts on Growing up in Glasgow, and his illustrious and varied career to date.

 The venue once again will be The Windsor suite at Eastwood House. The Doors will open for the event at 12 noon, with the talk commencing at 12.30pm and  followed by brunch.  The cost will be £17.50 per person with a special reduction for Friends of The Scottish Jewish Archives Centre, who will pay only £15.

 You can also book tickets by sending your request to the Archives at [email protected] or by post to SJAC, 129 Hill Street, Glasgow G3 6UB with your payment.

 The capacity of the hall is limited so tickets will be sold on a first come, first sold basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment!
