Scottish Council of Jewish Communities

Volunteer Ambassador Training – Session 2

The free, externally accredited course, which is supported by the Pears Foundation, gives people the knowledge, skills and confidence to develop fun, interactive ways to bring Judaism to life for schools, community and interfaith groups of all ages across Scotland.

The course takes place over four Sundays (April 23, May 21, June 11 and July 2), from 10am to 3pm, in the Giffnock JCC. Lunch and travel expenses will be provided. Volunteers will be expected to undertake supported visits to school or youth groups between sessions to help put their learning into practice.

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are interested in bringing Judaism and Jewish tradition to life. We have a great group so far, but there are still some places left on the course, so get in touch to register your interest – we’re looking forward to having you join our team. With your help, we can bring fun opportunities to learn about Judaism to schools and communities across Scotland.

For more information about the training or about the volunteer role contact Joanne at [email protected] or call 07724 549817.
