SCoJeC, the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities, in association with Newton Mearns Hebrew Congregation and Forestry Commission Scotland, are pleased to present a day of fun woodlands-based activities for the whole community on Sunday 14 May 2017. Activities will start at 12 noon, with the site being open from 11.30 am to 4.30pm.
Join us and take part in: archery, childrens’ crafts and games, wild foraging and cooking, forest walks, storytelling, fire juggling demonstration. There will also be a kosher barbecue with vegan options. All outdoor activities are supported by Forestry Commission Scotland, and run by outdoors activity specialists, Earth for Life.
There are plenty of toilet facilities and well-maintained accessible paths throughout the site. Come prepared for all weathers, with warm, weather-proof clothing and footwear suitable for outdoors.
Transport to and from the site is being organised from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, St-Andrews, and Aberdeen, as required. But you can also make your own way there. Car parking is available at Callendar Business Park, off Callendar Boulevard or on Kemper Avenue. Alternatively, you can also take the train to Falkirk High or Falkirk Grahamstown rail stations and make your way to the site via local bus.
