The akeidah, the binding of Isaac, is one of the most central—and troubling—stories in the Torah. In this session, we’ll examine how the early rabbis drew on the story of the akeidah to make law. What has the binding of Isaac to do with Passover, butchering, and the Temple rites? And what do these laws tell us about the akeidah itself?
