Crossing the border: A Jewish musical journey in Scotland with Michael Alpert and Gica Loening Supported by: DAVNO – acapella songs from Poland, Russia and Ukraine 6.30pm

Award winning Klezmer musician and Yiddish singer, Michael Alpert, is touring Scotland with the amazing Edinburgh-based fiddle player Gica Loening. These two extraordinary musicians evoke a feeling of Der Heim like no other.

Support act:
Davno – a female collective performing songs from the vocal traditions of Poland, Russia, and Ukraine. Though staying close to the old and traditional techniques of singing, they enrich their songs with a touch of a contemporary sound.

Includes Kosher buffet before the concert. As part of European Days of Jewish Culture and Heritage and part of the Bicentenary of Jewish Communities in Scotland programme.
