7PM – Glasgow Friends of Israel – An Evening with Israel Political Analyst James Marlow

18th March 2021

Contact [email protected] to attend.

GFI have great pleasure in inviting you to an evening with Israel Political Analyst James Marlow

On March 23rd Israel will have its 4th general election in less than 2 years. What has led to this event? Why are the citizens of Israel being asked to go to the polls yet again in such a short time? What have been the political ramifications that have made Bibi Netanyahu decide that another election will make him a more secure and effective Prime Minister?

To help us answer these questions, and many more, GFI have invited James Marlow, who has a background of almost 40 years in broadcasting and journalism and who has covered Israeli Elections since the eighties. He has extensive knowledge of the parties, candidates, Proportional Representation voting system and analysing coalition agreements.

James has in the past, been a reporter, correspondent and anchor with networks such as CNN, ITN, EuroNews, Al Jazeera, LBC Radio, Reuters and Israel’s former IBA News. James has also written for the Daily Mail, Daily Express, Jerusalem Post and numerous Jewish publications. He is currently a weekly columnist with the Jewish Weekly, which is the only newspaper outside of Israel that has such a huge coverage of the Israeli General Election.

This will be a Zoom event on Thursday 18th March 2021 at 7pm.

Please reply to this email if you would like to join us online and the Zoom details will be sent nearer the time.
