To mark the Bicentenary of Jewish Communities in Scotland, we will be holding seven talks across Scotland in towns with a history of hosting small Jewish communities. Michael Tobias, researcher, and genealogist, will be giving the second talk in our series in Falkirk on Tuesday 20 June, 6.30pm, at the Bainsford Community Hall, Davids Loan, Bainsford, Falkirk, FK2 7NS, as part of Refugee Festival Scotland 2017.
Hear about the history of smaller Jewish communities, as well that of the larger communities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Participants will hear the “how”, why” and “where” of Jewish immigration to Scotland, followed by a discussion and a “sharing our stories” session. The event, which will also include a kosher buffet, is free and is open to all to attend.
