EDINBURGH JEWISH CULTURAL CENTRE – Learning for All Event via Zoom
We know God has no gender, but when we talk about God we have to use human terms, and even in English, it is impossible to do so in entirely gender neutral language. From the beginning of the Bible there is evidence that God language includes female imagery as well as male. Is this evidence of the great insight of our ancestors, or relics of an ancient goddess worshipping culture? Either way, these female descriptions can broaden our understanding of what God is for us today.
