Jane has always had a great interest in food and cooking and grew up learning her skills from her very talented Grandma and Mum. She always enjoys the Jewish Festivals and making and sharing the significant foods and traditions with all friends of every religion.
Jane’s interest in food increased throughout her education and she is fascinated by the effects food and its nutrients have on our health and wellbeing and very much believes that ‘You are what you eat’.
In this talk, Jane will give a brief outline of the important nutrients that support the immune system and ways of incorporating these into your daily diet. She will also mention the therapeutic use of supplements and the importance of maintaining a healthy body weight to maximise and strengthen our immune system, particularly in the current pandemic.
