Join us for an evening of music, storytelling, poetry and history. Hear the story of the first ever UK Jewish Book Week, which took place in Glasgow in 1937, laugh and cry along to live performance of Jewish folk songs (no Yiddish required!) and learn about the unusual collection of Yiddish books held in the Mitchell archives. Enjoy elegant poetry, intriguing storytelling, and discover Glasgow’s fascinating Jewish history through a display of items from the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre.
All welcome, no ticket necessary (free event).
Organised in conjunction with University of Glasgow and Scottish Book Week.
