DESCRIPTION:Scottish Council of Jewish Communities – Whittingehame Estate Walk \nCELEBRATING 100 YEARS SINCE THE BALFOUR DECLARATION \nJoin us on a guided tour of Traprain Law and the Whittingehame Estate\, childhood home of Lord Arthur Balfour and home to Kindertransportees during WWII. \nThe walk is being led by East Lothian Park Ranger Richard English. Duration – approx. 5 hours \nArrival at site will be 10.30am\, with buses leaving Glasgow and Edinburgh earlier (details to be confirmed upon booking). \nThe day includes a kosher picnic lunch\, though attendees should bring extra snacks and water\, as needed. \nThe walk will be over wet and rough terrain\, so be prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear. \n£10 suggested donation – booking essential \nContact Joanne – events@scojec.org or 07724 549 817 \nTransport from Glasgow and Edinburgh available with booking. \nThe event is generously supported by the Netherlee and Clarkston Charitable Trust
