COVID 19 Support

Letter from GJRC President on 8 April 2020

Dear all,

I hope you are keeping safe and well.

The Corona virus crisis continues to present an unprecedented challenge for people everywhere – of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds. This is an anxious time for us all. For Jewish people celebrating Passover, and trying to maintain Jewish life through the challenge of social distancing, this can be a particularly stressful time. Pesach is a time where we usually come together as a community and celebrate with family and friends. I realise that this is going to be difficult for many of us during a period where we are asked to isolate and keep a distance.  Many of us will be missing time with loved ones, and getting to grips with using technology to keep in touch.

Anyone who has concerns about being able to celebrate Passover, to keep kosher, or participate Jewish life during this difficult time can find helpful information attached – or by getting in touch with the Rep Council directly.

Please continue to follow government advice and rules around social distancing, in order to keep yourself safe and healthy.

As always, the Glasgow Jewish Representative Council is always here for you. Please feel free to call us on 07377 992 918 or contact us via email –  [email protected] for any questions or concerns, or even just for a chat.

We hope you have a restful and peaceful Pesach.

Stay safe,

Paul Edlin

President, Glasgow Jewish Representative Council
