The Scottish Jewish Archives Centre is looking for a team of keen and committed volunteers to plan and run a programme of weekend events and activities (on Sundays only), including temporary exhibitions.

This is part of the delivery of a Heritage Lottery funded project to establish a Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre at Garnethill Synagogue which will launch in early 2020. By providing a varied programme of engaging events, our aim is to attract a wide and diverse audience to engage with our heritage and culture. Full support will be offered to our volunteers by experienced staff and existing volunteers, with all the required resources being provided.

Experience in planning, organising and running events and proven ability to work in a team is highly desirable but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and develop your skills is the most essential quality.

If you’d like to join us in this exciting venture please email the Volunteer Development Coordinator, with subject line Weekend Events and Activities, by the end of March 2019, for a detailed Role Description at [email protected]
