Natasha Hausdorff – Israeli Settlements and International Law
The BBC’s stock phrase is “The settlements are considered illegal under international law, though Israel disputes this.” Natasha will explore the application of public international law to the settlement reality in Israel and around the world, in order to cut through the misleading headlines.
Natasha Hausdorff is a barrister at Six Pump Court Chambers in London. During her time studying law at Oxford and Tel Aviv Universities, she focused on public international law and the law of armed conflict. She continues to lecture on aspects of public international law. Before working as a barrister, she clerked for the President of the Supreme Court of Israel in Jerusalem and acquired a particular insight into the Israeli Courts’ application of international law.
