Are you interested in making a big difference to someone else’s life without having to step out your front door?
Could you be a Cosgrove Volunteer Telephone Befriender?
Telephone befrienders make a regular weekly or fortnightly phone call for a catch up, with someone we support who’s life would be enhanced by a telephone befriending relationship.
- Befriending training will be provided and on-going support from our volunteer co-ordinator
- PVG check to be carried out for this role
- Two good references
- Cost of phone calls will be reimbursed
Skills & Experience:
- Good listening skills and genuinely interested in other people; caring attitude,
- Minimum age 18 years
- Be able to commit to a regular time slot
Enjoy gardening? Volunteer gardener to help keep our front garden a pleasant and relaxing space for the people we support, our staff, volunteers and local residents. We are looking for someone who enjoys gardening to help our existing volunteer gardener, maintain our front garden. Light gardening – cutting grass, planting, weeding, trimming.
Seasonal – April until October. Tuesday mornings 10 – 12 preferred.
Also, Fundraising volunteers’ to help out at local fundraising events and to contribute ideas for fundraising. A great opportunity for someone interested in joining an enthusiastic team and developing skills and experience within a fundraising environment.
